France’s second-tallest and best-looking swimmer Camille Lacourt and his slightly shorter teammate Jeremy Stravius tied for the gold medal in the 100m back! The time was slow (52.76) but the race was great - Irie was only a fingernail behind the two French dudes and Liam Tancock was putting pressure on the leaders right up until 75m, but couldn’t quite hang on. Looking forward to the 50m on Saturday!
I wonder if they have spare gold medals lying about for occasions like this - maybe they have a whole bunch in reserve in case relay teams replace all their swimmers between heats and finals?
