The Sette Colli meet in Rome has had some fast swims so far this weekend - a 57.48 100m fly for Fran Halsall (a few hundredths off her awesome time earlier this week) and a 4:04.67 from Federica Pellegrini in the 400m free.
Here’s a video of the same meet 3 years ago, just a few months before the 2008 Olympics. It’s weird seeing four British girls in the line-up! Anyway, Pellegrini had broken the world record a few weeks earlier and was attempting to go even further this time by going like the clappers down the first 100, leaving everyone else with way too much ground to catch up. Becky Adlington and Jo Jackson would get their revenge in Beijing though…
